That up there is my favorite modern Ferrari, the 599 GTB. I do however loathe the 599 GTO because it is stupid.
My favorite Ferrari, be it old or new, is the 400i
The new S-Class is ugly and unclassy.
There isn't a single muscle car (old or new) that I like, I do however respect them/ custom classic muscle cars with non-OEM wheels look awful.
Hypercars are stupid unless in racing form + the grin on the P1 looks idiotic.
There's a reason people only use things these in the USA and (perhaps, I'm not sure) Mexico.
The rest of the world uses this (non over-exaggerated) thing or similar.
This is the perfect vehicle for every possible use.

I... disagree.

This is not the car I'd have the most fun at a track with

Taking a Turbo R to a track is a life-long dream of mine.

You are allowed to do that.

Sure it would be fucking hilarious fun, but after awhile, it would just get frustrating.

We're big people, in a big country, with big toys.* Get off our backs.
*my mom has a Silverado, never leaves the city and has never towed anything.

Because the rest of the world are uncultured swine! :DDDD

You have insulted the Chevy truck, therefore you shall die.

Perhaps.
yes.

I'll hide under those IMMENSE SQUARE WHEEL ARCHES, you will never find me
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:06 |

You don't you all just buy big SUVs? (I'm perfectly ok with that)
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:13 |

i know my way around those arches. Test me
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:20 |

Then I'll just hide in a normal sized parking space.
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:27 |

To be quite honest smaller trucks are also very popular in America, and full-sizes are widespread across the continent.

I should have said north-america then. But one can't ignore that the F150 is the truck most sold in the US.

I aspire to own this. Do I need to? No. Is it practical? No. Does it make me look like a tool? Yes. But the point is the Escalade has captivated me for almost a decade. It is an emotional decision. And isn't that what being a car lover is all about?
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:31 |

Not only the truck, the vehicle in general as well. And by continent I really meant Americas (North and South).

Not all of us ….
Theres a car at the very right of the photo.

I love the Escalade, I'm perfectly ok with the concept of owning/buying one, I myself would love to own a Navigator. The enormously grotesque large pick-up trucks are what annoy me.
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:34 |

I have never seen one of those around here.

Oops, I made a doo-d00, there was supposed to be a "why" at the beginning of my sentence, but now Kinja won't let me alter that.

Where do you live?

The P1 looks like a kit car.

Ahh I see. But they are pretty much the exact same thing. You're just trading an enclosed hatchback for the ability to throw anything in the back
![]() 11/29/2014 at 15:57 |
|
But for some reason (again, I'm weird), I see pick-ups as having a more utilitarian purpose, if you want to carry that much stuff you don't need a crew-cab and you can just buy a truck. If you do want to carry both people and things just buy and SUV. I'm ok with luxury large SUV's because they don't pretend they are anything else, stupid "luxury" large pick-ups not so much.

Dime a Dozen here in the middle east, plus muscle cars, vettes, yukons, escalades, etc....

Granted I'm from a tourist town, but everyday spring through fall, I would see countless versions of this.
Has room for the family and can tow …. a boat load. Obviously not all truck buyers use 'em like this, but they have their place.
![]() 11/29/2014 at 17:06 |

I think that is a very american activity, but yes I can't really think of another car that fits that purpose.

Doesn't everyone world wide tow their camper, towing their boat, with their 800lbft-off-the-showroom-floor truck?

Most of us enjoy staying in hotels, because less freedom.

your wrong about the bentley. The reason is:
Also, I agree about the S Class, the w221 is so much more elegant and discret

Is it practical? No.

400i. Why?!?!?!?!?!
![]() 11/29/2014 at 19:41 |

For some people those ridiculously large trucks have a purpose. It could be a work purpose or a "I want to have fun in the mud." purpose. For others it is a celebration of the massiveness of America. I appreciate all those people. The ones that get to me are the actually unsafe ones.

Crew cabs work for agricultural/construction crews in many cases.

Because it is incredibly cool and V12.

Some people do agree with you though.

Compared to most 20mpg isn't exactly practical. Nor is the price when you could have a Tahoe for less.

Part of the American culture. My family has always owned one. I don't have a problem with them. Now do I like to take it in the city or shopping? Hell no. But it is a god send when I go to Lowes/ Home Depot.
